If you look up “dynasty” on Urban Dictionary the #1 search result will be the “Chicago Bulls”

The Bulls dominated the NBA by winning 6 championships in 8 years whilst recording two separate three peats:

  • 1991, 1992, 1993: the first three championship teams included the likes of Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, John Paxson and BJ Armstrong.
  • 1996, 1997, 1998: the later three championship teams had Luc Longley, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper, Toni Kukoč and Dennis Rodman on the roster.

Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and coach Phil Jackson led all 6 championship teams.

The Bulls won an NBA record of 72 games during the 95-96 NBA season and are the only team in NBA history to win 70 games or better in a single season.

Michael Jordan

What kid didn’t wannabe just like Mike? Labelled as the greatest basketball player of all time this guy was the reason why most of us even picked up a basketball.

Nicknames included: Air Jordan, His Airness, MJ

Jordan was one of the most effectively marketed athletes of my generation, he was instrumental in popularizing the NBA around the world and made the number 23 legendary.

Things to do before I die… play one-on-one with the GOAT!
